If they are masked men in unmarked vehicles, how do you know they’re federal agents? Aren’t they just criminals that you should call the police to stop?

- FireBeyond 1mo agoAnd you have the Attorney General of the United States, and the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security saying "it doesn't matter, if they tell you they're federal agents, you need to comply." But excuse me, Mr Masked Man, let me call the local police just in case you're not actually federal agents... is probably going to get the same reaction whether they're criminals or ICE agents.
- Aeolun 1mo agoI don’t understand this. Obviously you don’t call the police when the masked men are holding you up. You call the police when they hold someone else up. Has it truly become widespread enough that you can safely assume that masked men in unmarked vans are federal agents? That’s absurd.

Sadly, in very many places, yes - if you see masked men piling out of a van odds are they're not there to rob a bank but to detain people they suspect of being undocumented or problematic to ICE.
