The article states that it was the government who remained nameless, not the person who brought it to Microsoft.
Given that this request was not related to national security, they really should publish the name.
- MBCook 2mo agoI think they mean it was someone in the government who complained and that complaint went to their IT department, and it was the poor IT department who had to complain to Microsoft. Or something like that. Basically, the person from the government who contacted them was the sad messenger and not the original complainer.
