I wouldn't want ubuntu on bare metal anyway tbh. There was a time I loved it (I still have CDs I used to get!) But that time is long gone.

- KetoManx64 1mo agoI personally wouldn't want Microsoft Windows on bare metal considering how much spyware, AI bloat, and advertising right in the Start Menu Microsoft has packed into it the last decade and a half. Anything windows related is a either a virtual machine that gets booted up for the task and then shut back down, or a reboot into the dusty Windows dual boot drive.
- vrighter 1mo agoi don't want windows either. I just use another distro. Ubuntu isn't as great as it used to be
