The demand for constructed, intentional backdoors will re-start in earnest. Maybe I am overlooking what the author intended but I feel this has already happened and may be the reason why there is so much pressure to create the surveillance state. I feel more like the push for AI to provide better security (everything?) is an excuse to create a paradigm shift with the ultimate purpose of replacing free societies with fiefdoms of corporate culture returning us to the dark ages but with technology running the show. It started way before AI. There are good uses of the technology, but obviously we have a culture of criminal accelerationists that are going to use this overpowered tech to shape society into a system of slavery.
