The surveillance of China without the prosperity or safety. At least in China I can leave my bag or laptop out of sight for a moment, same cannot be said of my home city of London. What good is all of this when hard criminals are let out of prison after 6 months. Clown country.

- thenthenthen 2mo agoI live in China for the past 4 years and I have not have been prosperous, nor my friends, on the contrarie. Safe yes. That said, I used to live way below the poverty line in western europe before, and well..still bit it is a bit higher, so yeah maybe prosperity is true

- inigyou 2mo agoYes, prosperity. And safety. China is well above the UK in prosperity and safety.
- thinkingtoilet 2mo agoIs that because it's actually safer or is it because they don't report crimes in an honest manner?
- thenthenthen 2mo agoIts insanely safe in the tier 1 cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen etc). You can forget your bag in the train and you will get it back, with contents (i have had this). You can also just leave your motor/moped running all night, keys in ignition and it will still be there the next morning (i have seen this). You can walk on the streets at night, without a worry. Still common sense applies.
