Birduino: A card-triggered audio player for [learning] the birds
- pfdietz 2mo agoI see Cornell was mentioned. If you're ever in Ithaca, NY, visit Cornell's Lab of Ornithology at Sapsucker Woods. The people at the lab are also responsible for the Merlin app that lets your phone identify birds from their vocalizations.
- tclancy 2mo ago“Look Bullwinkle, it’s a yellow-bellied sapsucker!” “Aw, put down something else Rock. I can’t stands a coward.”
- goda90 2mo agoLooks like this is based off the TonUINO. As a new father looking to build a card based music player for my kid, I'm surprised how many projects I've found now to make these things: Yaydio ESP32io ESPduino Phoniebox more I can't remember right now Kinda makes it hard to choose one, to be honest.
- raul-pilla 2mo agoI known a certain person that would love this. Would it be possible to make something similar using Ntag215 tags and a phone app perhaps?
- forsalebypwner 2mo agoI like this idea, I might play around with it. I'll let you know if I make progress on it.
- tclancy 2mo agoThis is stupidly cool and exactly the kind of thing I love. My only complaint about these kinds of posts is while I am not currently in the market for a Birduino (ok, I totally am but am in denial), I always wind up adding at least one of the links to my cart and then trying to invent a use for it. Right now it’s the NFC stickers.
- flymasterv 2mo agoCool project, but my question is: what are those buttons?
