This coordinated worldwide effort at the same time is very creepy.
- inigyou 3mo agoIt just means politicians read the news.
- oneeyedpigeon 3mo agoAnd aren't very imaginative.

- account42 2mo agoIf only they used that time to listen to their constituents instead.
- DANmode 2mo agoNot a requirement for (re)election in many jurisdictions anymore.
- DANmode 2mo agoWe’re still pretending the Bilderberg Meeting (and similar stuff) don’t exist, and don’t assist in orchestrating big, cross-border paradigm shifts like this?
- johnnyanmac 2mo agoIf it just takes a few hundred rich people meeting up a few times a year to manipulate the world economy of billions, that says a lot about the world to begin with.
- weberer 2mo ago>If it just takes a few hundred rich people meeting up a few times a year A few hundred rich people and the world's politicians. Having secret off-the-record meetings, yes.
- johnnyanmac 2mo agoYes, worlds politicians, many in western worlds voted in. We need to watch our supposed watchmen
- DANmode 2mo agoMost of the cooperation required to manipulate markets and legislation is implicit, incentives-based, requiring little or no recordable coordination.
- hulitu 2mo agoIt just means politicians are paid at the same time.
- __MatrixMan__ 2mo agoYou mean the news that the halls of power are full of pedophiles? And then they all thought at once: > I know what will help, more metadata about chlidren.
- IshKebab 3mo agoI think this is actually a reaction to the over-reaching laws various governments are enacting. This is the way it should work - parents check a box that says "the user is 13 years old", and then apps and websites can see what the parent set. This is much much better than having to do face scans and credit checks etc. to prove to some sketchy third party that you are over 18. I think if Google had bothered to do this 5 years ago we might not be in the shitty situation we are now, but it's probably too late now.
- frollogaston 2mo agoThat's what gets me. It's not like one country demonstrated this then the others followed, it's in parallel. Reminds me of when big US corps kept virtue-signaling around political things at the same time, whether it's now or previous administration.
