Tell me you live in a civilised country without telling me you live in a civilised country.
Over here, in Greece, whenever you try to avoid a pothole, a double-parked car, a cyclist, a pedestrian, a stray, ANYTHING, lane assist always tries its best to make you hit whatever you're trying to avoid.
- CobaltFire 4mo agoWhen I loved in Guam we had a joke bout this: How do you tell if someone is driving drunk? They are driving straight! With the unspoken part being anyone NOT drunk was weaving to dodge debris, potholes, etc.
- Scoundreller 4mo agoSame joke in the rust (aka pothole) belt
- AnimalMuppet 4mo agoEarlier this year, I rented a new Toyota Camry (US model). It had lane assist, but it was very easy to override it. I didn't really have to fight it. (And that was nice. I've drive other cars where it was more of a battle.) So, yeah, it's done badly some of the time. But it at least can be done well.
- stavros 4mo agoI don't know, even if it's not that forceful, sometimes I have a light touch on the wheel and I'm going straight, I don't want to suddenly have to fight the car swerving me onto oncoming traffic.
