While you’re not wrong, there are far more doctors in politics at all levels (including influential fundraising) than engineers and teachers.

I don't think you're right about this (not that it matters) but what's your source of data? What is an 'engineer'? A PE? Someone who coded once? The 'quotas' for doctors don't exist, this is one of the stories people on the internet tell themselves.
