How about we allow ChatGPT to be used alongside human MD diagnosis?
Win win right?
- nradov 8mo agoWhat do you mean "allow"? From a public policy perspective there's nothing prohibiting that today, as long as the human MD follows the HIPAA privacy rule.
- TZubiri 8mo agoI think that's incorrect. Medical technology needs to be approved by the FDA. I don't think any llm is fda approved right now.
- nerevarthelame 8mo agoThat would need to be tested. If doctors get lazy, complacent, or overworked (!), a "doctor with access to ChatGPT Health" may be functionally equivalent to "just ChatGPT Health" in some cases.
- TZubiri 8mo agoI was personally thinking of an autonomous separate gpt, such that the llm diagnosis occurs separately from the physician diagnosis. Thus after both diagnosis have been separately and independently achieved, we can see both results. It's like a second opinion.
