I've been subscribed to the FT for almost a decade now, and it's definitely helped me a lot. For context, I also subscribed to all the other newspapers people suggest (NYT/WSJ/WaPo/Guardian etc) and find the FT to be the most useful for me. I do agree that it's really expensive, but for me it makes sense.
