The US is allowed for decades to have a military presence on Greenland, but the US Army has been diminishing it's presence as the time went by.
- adventured 9mo agoUp it to $5 million per Greenlander then. The US can afford to pull the trigger on a $250-$280 billion acquisition. The EU can't afford to counter it. To put that sum into perspective for the US economy: that's merely 2.x years of operating income for Google. There's no scenario where the people of Greenland reject that $250b offer in a free vote.
- hobs 9mo agoSure they would, because it's fucking stupid. There's no need to entertain such fucking stupid thoughts, just say no to how stupid it is and move on.
- esseph 9mo agoPolitically if he gave out $5mil per Danish citizen in Greenland he would face an actual revolt at home.
- coffeebeqn 9mo agoWhere is that money coming from? The defense budget is 800B - this is a major budget item just throwing money in the trash along with most of your alliances
- esseph 9mo agoDear Leader already asked for something like 1.6 trillion for the military budget, but that probably doesn't even cover this. https://apnews.com/article/trump-defense-spending-3bbea1ccc679ee8a388386d60e651fd7 https://apnews.com/article/trump-defense-spending-3bbea1ccc6...
