Why could Chinese consumer electronics companies successfully launch cars and Apple which spent billions on R&D on a car couldn’t?
- seanmcdirmid 9mo agoXiaomi makes HVACs and washing machines as well, so we aren't really comparing apples to apples here. I think chinese companies trend toward the conglomerate model of South Korea and Japan (e.g. Samsung used to make cars), which isn't really a thing in the US.
