BYD at least also started as ICE car makers from acquiring some bankrupt state owned car makers. Only from 2019 or 2020 I believe they stopped making ICE.

- dalyons 10mo agowell they were a battery company first. I cant know for sure but i presume they bought the ice car manufacturing lines always with the intention of going fully electric over time.
