Oh wow! I think I found part of the problem. I replied earlier about algorithmic accountability, and the need for Algorithm Impact Assessments, and I got a snarky reply and down voted like I've never seen before. I guess accountability hits a nerve.

- nradov 10mo agoI down voted you because this is a stupid idea which wouldn't do anything for accountability. There's no need for algorithm impact assessments. I don't want my tax dollars wasted on more bureaucratic garbage. It would end up being totally politicized and subjective because there's no consensus on impacts.
