West Virginia is a surprise to me, I can only guess that is because of young people moving out. Same could probably be said for Rhode Island, Maine and Vermont.
- Spooky23 1y agoThis isn’t a surprise — it’s been projected since the 80s at least. K-12 is in a trough for the next decade.

- hrimfaxi 1y agoNever in my life have I ever seen more notices warning about the dangers of fetal alcohol syndrome than during my brief stay in West Virginia.
- sigwinch 1y agoIn particular, West Virginia was a high fertility rate state during the baby boom, among those. Maybe Vermont, too.
