I’m not sure about op but codex high is slow but really solid. Med is definitely more hit or miss. I think the “meta” is claude does straightforward “shoe tying” code better and codex does more complicated thinking stuff better. Especially high. Tool use codex is trash compared to sonnet. So still not a one stop shop.
