Wait, F-Droid is doing/going to do age verification?
Guess I have to find another app store. To use and to donate to. Stupid wars over what's NSFW are ignorable, but knuckling under to the AV gestapo isn't.
- grapesodaaaaa 1y agoI’m not sure about f-droid specifically, but I know in the USA, 18+ content online is now required by law to have age verification in many states.
- Hizonner 1y agoVery few of those laws apply to services that only have "incidental" content, especially if they're small, and for those that actually do apply, the right answer is to refuse to serve the affected states. They would definitely have to blacklist the UK as well. And other places if I remember right.
