“You must figure out why you smoke in the first place, before you will be able to quit” isn’t a universal truth.
- BoredPositron 1y agoBecause you know why you are smoking because you are addicted to nicotine.

- BoredPositron 1y agoThe cause why you started smoking might have gone away but you are still addicted to the substance. We don't have the same chemical addiction with doom scrolling.

- makeitdouble 1y agoThis isn't universal but will tremendously help quitting. There will still be the nicotine issue, but it will help clear the other factors that can be as powerful as the physical addiction.
