I do not get this. I keep seeing this "move to ... and we will create paradise" things over and over again. So they will move pretty much to the middle of nowh

I do not get this. I keep seeing this "move to ... and we will create paradise" things over and over again. So they will move pretty much to the middle of nowhere. How will people make money there ? Do the expect everyone to farm ? How will they find enough land for that. Seems very risky to me.
