The American union workers probably view the people who were detained as stealing jobs from them. They were (allegedly) only allowed to do certain work with their visas, and they were doing other work that was supposed to be for the union.
- orwin 1y agoMy father used to work in construction in Western europe, so protectionist/Nationalist union workers, i know about them. No one would cheer if that happened to foreign workers, unless company owners were part of the detained, and even then, push would be made so that the workers were respected while accompanied back to Eastern europe, because our union workers actually have something called compassion for fellow workers. Although maybe they would cheer if it were plasterers, but that's because they all belong to jail (according to construction painters at least).
