Google's AI pointed him to a customer service number. It was a scam
- fortran77 1y agoI see no reason why Google shouldn't be liable when they mislead a customer to a scammer. The credit card companies -- one of the primary victims here -- should sue.
- rootnod3 1y agoAgreed. In the end the use of these kinds of tools falls under their responsibility. If I were to drive a car that 90% of the time goes the opposite of where I am steering, I would definitely blame the manufacturer.
- bitpush 1y agoBy this logic, the iPhone I use to lookup the phone number also is liable. And so is the ISP?
