Turning an iPad Pro into the Ultimate Classic Macintosh (2021)
- Ezhik 1y agoOh this is SO cool. Personally I've been doing a janky version of this on my iPad with the incredible Infinite Mac [1], but I wish there was something more native for it (or at least more Infinite Mac affordances for this type of use case). - frumplestlatz 1y agoHow I wish I could spend my day at work tooling around in HyperCard. I miss 90s computing; my favorite workstation before everything changed was my SparcStation 5 running System 7.5 under MAE.
- wkjagt 1y agoI miss it too. I just bought a 90s laptop, and put Windows 98 on it. And Borland C++. I'm sure a good part of it is nostalgia, but there just was something special about computers back then that I miss today.

- mbirth 1y agoSo, is there a TestFlight or do TF apps also need to adhere to the same rules as AppStore apps? (I.e. no emulation)
- wrs 1y agoInternal TF builds have no review, but can only go to 100 people who are in your developer account. External builds can go to 10,000 people by invitation, but have a review.
- roboror 1y agoEmulation is now allowed on the app store
- thejazzman 1y agobut the JIT that makes them performant is not
- roboror 1y agoIt's extra steps but you can enable JIT with stikdebug on the app store

- jtfrench 1y ago"But can it run KidPix?"
- doubled112 1y agoOh no! I can still hear the tools in my head whenever somebody says KidPix.
- alexpc201 1y agoWhat I’d like to use is an app just like MacPaint on the iPad, I haven’t seen anything even similar.
