- general1726 1y agoLot of downvotes, but just have a look what countries around Israel are doing about Gaza. Nothing. Looking the other way after their own negative experiences with Palestinians.
- laimewhisps 1y agoThey simply don’t want their citizens murdered by Israel. Very valid concern.
- spwa4 1y agoIsrael has never murdered citizens of their neighbors. Palestinians, on the other hand, have massacred any people they ever had the chance to. From Lebanese to Kuwaiti.
- laimewhisps 1y agoThis is just a blatant lie. Israel has murdered more children than any other country in a modern war. They've attacked most of their neighbors in the past 2 years. I'm not even sure how you could make this claim and expect anyone to believe it.
- spwa4 1y agoWhy even make this absurd point? Sudan. Myanmar. Columbia-Venezuela. Syria. That was 5 minutes research. Every conflict in this list has more children killed than the total deathtoll in the Israel-Palestina conflict, even if you believe hamas' absurd figures. Or to pull out a really dramatic figure showing just how prejudiced people are against Israel/Jews: Palestinians killed more children in the Syrian civil war than the entire deathtoll in the Israel-Palestina conflict going back to 1880. The Palestinian-instigated Syrian civil war killed more people than ALL deaths not due to old age in Israel-Palestina, including everything from traffic accidents to those 5 idiot soldiers who managed to fire a rocket aimed at themselves on an empty training ground 3 years ago. Palestinians killed more people in Lebanon in the civil war than realistic figures of the Israel-Palestina conflict. Which shows the usual muslim prejudices. A million victims, like in Sudan, the better part of a million victims, like in Syria, millions deported in Armenia just 2 years ago, all just doesn't matter, because whoever you blame in that conflict, they're muslim. And muslims don't care about brutally murdered victims. They only care about blaming Jews.
- laimewhisps 1y agoPalestinians are in Palestine, they are not in Syria. Again, the most basic of facts can completely invalidate the lies you're pushing.

- ath3nd 1y ago> but just have a look what countries around Israel are doing about Gaza. Nothing. It's hard to help Palestinians when Israel is actively bombing you them as well, like they did with Iran. And like they did with Lebanon. > Looking the other way after their own negative experiences with Palestinians. They have all called out the genocide that's happening. Here are some examples: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/2/9/saudi-arabia-slams-netanyahus-suggestion-it-should-host-palestinian-state https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/2/9/saudi-arabia-slams-n... And the other ones are being bombed by Israel anyway (Iran and Lebanon). Also, whatever differences the Arab states had with Palestine, only one country is actually doing a genocide to the Palestinians, and that's Israel. Israelis themselves call it out: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/jul/28/israel-committing-genocide-in-gaza-say-israel-based-human-rights-groups https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/jul/28/israel-committ... Starving the population (war crime) https://www.ohchr.org/en/press-releases/2025/08/gaza-israel-must-restore-un-humanitarian-system-stave-starvation-say-un https://www.ohchr.org/en/press-releases/2025/08/gaza-israel-... Killing civilians looking for aid (war crime) https://edition.cnn.com/2025/07/20/middleeast/israel-gaza-aid-shooting-deaths-intl https://edition.cnn.com/2025/07/20/middleeast/israel-gaza-ai... Bombing hospitals (war crime) https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cx2jvx3yjg3o https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cx2jvx3yjg3o Killing Journalists (war crime) https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ckgnp154eeko https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ckgnp154eeko So all kind of what-about-ism can't distract us from the fact that Israel is doing a genocide in Gaza.
- general1726 1y agoPalestinians causing civil war in Jordan - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_September https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_September Palestinians causing civil war in Lebanon - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lebanese_Civil_War https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lebanese_Civil_War Egypt building 12km buffer zone to stop spread of militants into Egypt and smuggling of weapons - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egypt%E2%80%93Gaza_border https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egypt%E2%80%93Gaza_border So your whataboutism can't change the subject I have raised - why no local power is trying to help Palestinians much. Because they were already burned by them in the past.

- UranusDuzen 1y agoThat recent picture of a starved baby next to its mother turned out to be staged.. is there actual evidence of starvation?
- LargoLasskhyfv 1y ago“So long as Hamas does not release the hostages, the only thing that should enter Gaza is hundreds of tons of air force explosives — not an ounce of humanitarian aid.” *signed
- IshKebab 1y agoThis didn't explain clearly why it stands apart at all. I would say it's because they aren't using it to achieve military victory but as genocidal punishment. You'd think the Jews of all people would have a little sensitivity around imprisoning an entire population and starving them to death...
- ivape 1y agoIt’s also one of the most bipartisan political things ever, in a weird way. A) Both Biden and Trump provided rhetorical cover, but never tried to stop it in anyway. and B) People on both sides of the political spectrum see it for what it is and are against it. So if we had to get Sherlock Holmes with it, I think you’ll see that both A and B have one thing in common, and that is neither A or B has any avenue to stop the Israeli government. B doesn’t have the power because the representatives are beholden to something. A won’t stop it because, I guess they are beholden to the same thing? So, the powerful have no way of stopping it. Which bring us to C, the people in Gaza. They had no fucking chance of stopping it if A and B couldn’t.
- IshKebab 1y agoI'm not sure that's true. I think the US does have the power to stop it, but lets be real - Israel is quite a Western country and doesn't have a religious imperative to murder everyone in the West. We naturally want them to win, and even if its never said explicitly, winning ultimately means a Machiavellian win. The trouble is they cross a line from collateral damage in the course of counter-terrorism (which is fairly easily justifiable), to deliberately starving an entire population (which is reprehensible even to people that support Israel). It's a fairly recent development and I wouldn't be surprised if the US actually does something significant now. Trump loves to think of himself as a peacemaker. (On the other hand his peacemaking basically consists of empty threats.)
- ivape 1y agoYeah, no. I don’t even know what the fuck I just read. winning ultimately means a Machiavellian win. God-denying people have fully come out of the closet. Alright, place your bets. It’s a big circus and party, and then we all escape freely into nothingness at the end. Otherwise, enjoy Hell.
- PicassoCTs 1y ago? Its not real unlike Syria or Yemen or Sudan?
