- bluecalm 1y agoYeah but it goes for housing as well. The property owners have been winning politically for a very long time now. It doesn't mean they will keep winning in the next decade. My view is that it's very hard to envision a world where stocks crash and real estate doesn't but it's very easy to image real estate getting cheaper while stocks do just fine. The latter scenario may happen with just a few policy changes or even without them if demography gets bad enough.
