"parent your kids" doesn't mean "ask youtube to be better", it means "teach your kids to choose better"
- baq 1y agoIt also means “trust, but verify“.
- goopypoop 1y agoCensorship is not trust
- allarm 1y agoCalling restrictions for kids “censorship” is just silly.
- goopypoop 1y agoRemoving undesirable information is literally censorship. For irony's sake, I'll adjust my comment for your sensibility: Every restriction is a demonstration of a lack of trust.
- baq 1y agoCensorship is quite strictly defined to be done by the government. Not allowing kids to watch anything they please is called parenting.
- goopypoop 1y agoIncorrect. Your first sentence is plain wrong and your second only begs the question. It's as if you're just trying to distract from the content of my comment with sheer semantic disingenuity. But maybe you missed my point so: every check shows distrust
- baq 1y agoDo you even have kids
- johnnyanmac 1y agodepends on the age range. and that's the problem. I don't want Youtube's input aside from being a dumb pipe. I want them to hand me the remote so I can manage my feed.
- goopypoop 1y ago> depends on the age range. How's that?
- johnnyanmac 1y agoThe older the kid, the less I'll filter their content. I'll make sure that a 5 year old only has specific channels to access. A 16 year old is more around a point where I'm only worried about scams and propaganda instead of finding a curse word in one video.
