- searine 1y agoLately I've just been posting who is funding studies posted on HN. Usually taxpayers via government foundations/institutes. A lot of people on HN seem unaware of how innovative research is paid for and are even cheering the cuts in the US. China certainly isn't cutting research.

- Aurornis 1y agoInteresting to see fibrosis and cirrhosis of the liver as one of the highest correlations. As noted, sleep disruption can alter some liver functions. However I wonder how much of this is a proxy for frequent alcohol consumption, which disrupts sleep.
- Natsu 1y agoBeing overweight can cause sleep apnea and fatty liver disease, so there may be some correlation due to that.
