Yeah. Feels like it's breaking some fundamental UX principle. If an action is going to make any significant change make sure that it fulfills at least one of these: 1. Can be rollbacked/undone 2. Clearly states exactly what it's going to do in a reviewable way If those aren't fulfilled you're going to end up with users that are afraid of using your app.
