I don't think a lot of Americans know this: the EU is China's biggest trade partner.
And the EU has free trade in it's DNA.
- disgruntledphd2 1y agocough mostly protectionism, I'm afraid cough. The EU roleplays as free traders (for exports), but if you look at their actual behaviour (particularly around agriculture) then you can see that they're also a big fan of protectionism at times.
