  That's because it's not: it's a mandarin-orange hybrid. Fun fact: "dekopon" means basically "outie" (as in protruding navel, not Severance).

    I’ve a few time now had to explain to older people that “no, it’s not the same things you had when you were a kid” about a few different foods. Oranges, avocados, Brussels sprouts, and more I am forgetting. I’m receive basically the same “oh it’s the same thing!”.
