You'd be surprised. Just yesterday we had a 'tempest simulation' exercise in my city, we received warning in french by text and a link to a website that was translated in English. The announcements were translated in English, Spanish and German. If I was in Brittany, I would also have a Breton translation, and in Perpignan, a Catalan translation. The reason is just basic respect.
