In London it’s gotten significantly worse in recent years (post-Covid).
Service charge used to be an exception only added to bills for large groups of diners, now they’re the rule.
- pasc1878 2y agoBut unlike in other countries that replaces a tip. My view was that previously large groups might not tip especially if splitting the bill but ones and twos would tip.
