So I'm genuinely curious. Are the people that work in PE just straight up sociopaths? Or is there some kind of charitable interpretation that let's them sleep at night. Like it blows my mind the kind of evil our society lets rich people get away with.

- s1artibartfast 2y agoPE is just a fancy name for non-public investment. The charitable interpretation is that if your typical teachers and government worker pension can invest in PE to maximize return, why cant your corporate 401k do the same? Why would someone have trouble sleeping at night?
