The Fifth Element – "Becoming One of the Most Successful Films of the 1990s"
- kayo_20211030 2y agoThere's a bunch of movies which, if I happen across them, I'll watch 30, or 60, or whatever minutes - I've seen them before, so there's no loss if I join in the middle. This is one of those movies; it's a beauty. It remains tremendous fun. Besson made a masterpiece with this one.
- JTyQZSnP3cQGa8B 2y agoIt was a simple movie with a simple story and pretty pictures. Last but not least the costumes were made with Jean-Paul Gaultier (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_Paul_Gaultier https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_Paul_Gaultier). Sometimes it works, it's fun, and that's why it's one of those movies that I still watch once a year with a bag of pop-corn.
- linsomniac 2y agoA couple days ago I had my cat in the vet and the Dr was checking out his privates and he turned and hissed at her and I said "Ecto gammat" and then I waited to see if the vet was a fan. No comment was made. :-(

- dekhn 2y agoThere's a single scene in the film- when the ship takes off and you see New York hundreds of years in the future- that has more detail and plot potential in it than nearly any other movie I've seen. https://www.reddit.com/r/MovieDetails/comments/96xs5h/in_the_fifth_element_manhattan_the_statue_of/ https://www.reddit.com/r/MovieDetails/comments/96xs5h/in_the...
