There are several Canadians by me selling their (winter) houses at lower than market rates. I asked them about it and they cited the current situation, but I'm not sure if they were doing it to get liquidity to brace themselves for economic conflict or because they were afraid of property seizure.

- seanmcdirmid 2y agoIf this is Florida, there is also that high home insurance cost to consider.
- WorldPeas 2y agoyes but this was in an area that had no real risk for hurricane damage, we only got some torn soffits and maybe lawn damage. And to see multiple people doing it for the same reason, and not knowing each other/coordinating this, was concerning.
