Whenever anyone refers to themselves as a "coder", I always think, "Would Hemingway call himself a typist?" Calling oneself a coder is only a recent occurrence. I never heard the term until a few years ago; possibly due to all the hobbyists getting involved. Coding is the end result of programming. I'm a programmer and proud of it.
