- joezydeco 2y agoYou can't leave a huge BGA landing pad on that board and not say what it's for! Docs seem to avoid saying anything. Future wireless module addition?
- janice1999 2y agoIt's probably for flash/storage.
- joezydeco 2y agoYeah it is. I missed the line in the original post. oops.
- hackingonempty 2y agoThis is great news! It is hard to tell from the picture but the boards are tiny, 55mmx35mm (2.2inx1.4in) and have most expansion pins brought out to the connectors. BeagleBoards are better than RPi for battery operated devices because the PMIC has a wide range converter that accepts single cell voltage directly and includes a charger. RPi's OTOH lack a charger and also require 5V input so you lose energy converting to that before losing more when it is converted internally to lower voltages. I was also concerned that BeagleBoard in general was dying (from RPi sucking up all the oxygen) but apparently it's not dead yet.
