counterpoint is the HK developers of my old condo unit in NYC back in the late 80s. The story as I understand it was, they partnered w/ Chuangpu the development, but as it was completed, as was his wont, he sued them to screw them out of their shares in the project. Being HK real estate tycoons, they just shrugged, and sued him back, and won, since Chuangpu's lawyers are never really the brightest of the bunch. Won total ownership of the project AND the right to use his name...
