- MisterTea 2y agoNever? Nah. Sure there could be issues with lightning or ground loops but A. use grounded surge arrestors at each end before termination into equipment, B. Don't use shielded cable. Unshielded in a conduit will be fine with 60Hz power but loads downstream producing harmonics (lots of switching supplies, VFD's, etc) can cause interference. This is why I said fiber a lot.
