I have looked into these 3 so far and was not too impressed. Would like to look at more, if there are some.
- aomega08 2y agoScaleway is the closest thing to a public cloud we have in the EU. Although it’s not a publicly traded company.
- sam_lowry_ 2y agoHetzner beats it hands down in terms of cost, scale and customer service. But it's great to have competition )
- mariusor 2y agoThere's also Schwarz Gruppe (of Lidl fame) that started their own cloud infra with StackIt: https://www.stackit.de/de/ https://www.stackit.de/de/ They aren't publicly traded either AFAIK despite being worth over 100Bln.
- rsynnott 2y agoThere's Hetzner, which I think would generally be viewed as better than OVH (or at least used to be), but it's not publicly traded.
- wink 2y agoWhy does it matter if they are publicly traded? Outing myself as European here, but we've had a lot better results with privately owned businesses that are not 100% beholden to grow for their shareholders. No unicorns, but sustainable growth.
