  Because, I reckon—as indicated by the downvotes and some comments—that at any appeal to human self-determination or a cultural/social redress of modern ideals that meddles in the reach of technological utopia runs contrary to the spirit of a significant portion of this community. And my giving thanks wasn’t tendered in jest.
