There is no may in that statement. There is no citation of anything. We are not talking about literacy rates, the podcast is about how reading is being taught in schools.
GP is poisoning the discussion using immigrants as a cudgel, there is nothing delicate here. What does immigration have to do with the science of teaching reading?

- sitkack 2y agoAdaptation doesn't need "vastly" "different" (educators and materials). The adaptation to students needs is built into the science, that is how science works.
- echelon 2y agoIt requires special training that would be difficult and nonsensical to employ everywhere. An urban school will have different needs than a rural one. San Diego has different needs than Juneau.
