Huh interesting. My understanding (from conversation with some Israelis) was that Arabs were not drafted as the rest of the population are. Obviously they were mistaken though.
- Aloisius 2y agoNon-Druze Arabs aren't conscripted, however a small number volunteer every year.
- disgruntledphd2 2y agoAh ok, thanks for the education. I guess that's really where I was coming from. I get the complexities, but it's hard to see another democratic state having such policies.
