- anovikov 2y agoProduction of nuclear electricity is, to be fair, almost 5% of total.
- xbmcuser 2y agoChina is on pace to double its installed solar capacity approximately every 3 years. So should be around 3100+GW by 2030. It might even accelerate as the recent bess system auction pushed LCOE of solar+battery below coal. Where as they are adding 7-8 nuclear reactors or 7-8 gw capacity a year which is just a blip for their electricity consumption growth so the numbers will likely go down for nuclear. China seems to be doing most of its economic development like the west but at an extremely fast pace. It will be really interesting how fast they get off coal for electricity production and off oil for transport.
