I know precisely what you mean. I randomly stumbled upon the anime Solo Leveling, which also follows the 100% tell style. The main character reads out everything, narrates every scene, and explains his own thought processes and emotions at every step.
It is weirdly addicting, perhaps only because I'm bored of the show-don't-tell style and it's refreshing to see something going contrary to that.
- mwigdahl 2y agoJust to note, Solo Leveling is Korean.

- rat87 2y agoI haven't read/seen it but my understanding is that it's an anime/Japanese show. The original story was a webcomic written by a Korean author on a Korean webtoon platform (with the long scrolling pages of Korean webtoons) but forsome reason Solo Leveling and other popular webcomics were adapted by Japanese animation studios, although they may subcontract some of the work back to Korea.
