New Law Requiring Businesses to Report Who Owns Them Is Put on Hold Again

- johnea 2y agohttps://archive.ph/qOFrr https://archive.ph/qOFrr I highly support requirements to identify benefitial owners of corporations, but this law only requires that discloser for small companies: Larger companies that employ more than 20 people, have revenues above $5 million and a physical presence in the US, are exempt from the act. Churches, charities and other non-profits are also exempt. So, if you're a larger organized crime syndicate, you're exempt? Classic murica. All the posturing, none of that worrisome crime prevention. I mean, we really need to stamp out the retail shoplifters, because they're infringing on the profits of the larger mafia orgs!
