Intel built best budget GPU for 1440p gaming
- RobinHirst11 2y agojust cant wait for LTT or someone to do a proper review on it
- akmittal 2y agoThis article already has detailed review, what details do you think are missing?
- Cumpiler69 2y agoLTT and "proper review" don't really go together anymore. Gamer's Nexus, Der8auer, Wendel from Level1Techs, Hardware Unboxed are where the "proper reviews" are these days. What's left of LTT is a morally bankrupt entertainment channel who sometimes reviews PC hardware between reviewing sponsored products, AliEpress junk and upgrading his house or the setups of their employees for clout and monetization.
- Numerlor 2y agoTheir review of the card was perfectly fine
- Cumpiler69 2y agoHow do you know it was "fine" when LTT has a history of publishing reviews full of mistakes it never bothers correcting?

- ChoGGi 2y agoYou mean the guy that just cancelled an nzxt advertising contract because of shady subscription games?
- Citizen_Lame 2y agoThoughts and prayers.

- Alifatisk 2y agoWhen I first heard the news about intel doing graphics card, I found it funny. I thought, "are they really this desperate?". But reading the reviews and hearing other peoples experience, they seem to actually deliver something valuable here, wow My only concern is bugs with the drivers, but I'm sure they'll iron these out
- genocidicbunny 2y agoMy experience is admittedly second-hand, but it seems this time around Intel realized they need halfway decent drivers to be competitive, so they have been making a lot of improvements in that area. They've rapidly improved driver compatibility with a lot of games, such that this new GPU of theirs is actually worth a consideration, unlike the previous generation which felt a little more of a proof-of-concept product.
- kelseyfrog 2y agoWhat's the compute support for Intel cards look like? I'm crossing my fingers for a 16GB Battlemage card - it'd be an instant buy if the setup for local inference was relatively uncomplicated.
- washadjeffmad 2y agoIPEX is decent enough on Linux, as in "just works". Remains to be seen whether Battlemage will have day one support, though. https://github.com/intel-analytics/ipex-llm/ https://github.com/intel-analytics/ipex-llm/
- deadlyllama 2y agoAs long as it's better than the i740 I used to have!
- ac130kz 2y agoIt's mostly suitable for either modern DX12 games at medium settings or computations. No proper gaming at 1440p, even 4060ti can't do it.
- solarkraft 2y agoIs it interesting for LLM inference?
- binary132 2y agoIt looks great, especially at the price. Bravo Intel! I want to see Linux numbers and driver challenges before I make any assumptions, and I want to see the competitors’ offerings. It’s a good play.
