- crote 2y agoI'm surprised it has taken this long. It's blatant corruption. The whole concept of civil asset forfeiture is already extremely shady because you are literally guilty until proven innocent. But then you add the fact that the agency gets to keep the money rather than it going to the Big Federal Tax Pile, and this kind of flagrant abuse is the only logical outcome. Want some new shiny toys? Simply rob a random passer-by, it's legal! It's just "pennies from heaven", after all.
