This doesn't excuse some authors who enjoy constantly rewriting their libraries just for the hell of it, consistently introducing breaking API changes. react-router might be one of the best examples (or the worst, depends on how you look at it), and it's unfortunately very popular, even though sane and stable alternatives exist (like wouter).
