Caps dry out but transformers don’t go bad unless dropped or something like that.
- greatartiste 2y agoSometimes if they get to hot or following many many heating/cooling cycles the insulation varnish on the transformer windings starts to fail leading to short circuit issues.
- winrid 2y agoThe varnish can wear down, but yes likely a cap
